Fowler

The fowler lives by deception and is measured by it. He sets his snares and weeps for effect; the birds are not fooled about what he is. The viper he steps on while watching the sky repays him in kind. He looks up so long that he misses what is at his feet. He is the trapper the fables delight in trapping.
