Hen
The hen lays the eggs that stir men's greed. The one who lays golden eggs is killed by the master who wants everything at once. She warms serpent eggs and nurses her own destruction. She scratches the earth and sometimes finds treasure meant for others. Around her, it is human impatience that does the harm.
