Jackdaw

The jackdaw wants to be someone else. He dresses in peacock feathers and is pecked away by both peoples. He imitates the eagle's swoop and ends up caged, with clipped wings. He is neither big enough for glory nor content with his size. He is the bird of failed pretension.
