The Child Bathing

One day a child bathing in a river found himself in danger of drowning. On seeing a traveller, he called on him for help. The traveller reproached him for his recklessness. "Ah!" retorted the boy, "pull me out first; later, when you have saved me, you can reproach me."

*Help should come before reproach.
