The Gull and the Kite

A gull, having swallowed a fish, burst its gullet and lay dead on the shore. A kite, on spotting it, said, "You have only what you deserve, since, born a bird, you sought your living on the sea."

So those who abandon their own trade to take up one that is not theirs are justly wretched.
