Dove
The dove is gentle and thirsty. She mistakes a painted bowl of water for a real one and breaks her wings against it. Yet she can also be a rescuer, dropping a leaf to a drowning ant. She is innocence in a world of hawks. Her haste, more than her enemies, is her undoing.
