Prometheus
Prometheus is the craftsman of mankind, working in clay. Ordered to shape men and beasts, he is told to redo the beasts into men — which is why some walk upright with an animal's heart. He hangs two sacks on every person: others' faults in front, one's own behind. He made us, and left the flaws in plain sight. His fables explain why we are what we are.
