Sheep
The sheep is the born victim of the fables. The wolf accuses her of crimes she could not commit, and eats her anyway. Shorn, milked, and guarded by dogs she must feed, she serves everyone. Sometimes she answers back with surprising wit. But in Aesop, innocence rarely wins the argument.
