Weasel
The weasel is the small predator who explains herself. Caught by the man, she pleads her services against the mice — performed, he notes, for her own dinner. In love with a youth, she becomes a woman, and leaps after the mouse anyway. Nature, in her, always finishes the argument. She is cunning that cannot outrun itself.
