The Bull and the Wild Goats

A bull pursued by a lion took refuge in a cave where there were wild goats. Struck and butted by them, he said to them, "If I put up with your blows, it is not that I am afraid of you, but I fear the one who stands at the entrance of the cave."

Often the fear of a stronger makes us put up with the insults of one weaker than ourselves.
