The Fox Who Had Never Seen a Lion

A fox had never seen a lion. Now chance brought her one day face to face with the beast. Seeing it for the first time, she was so terrified that she nearly died of fright. When she met it a second time, she was frightened again, but not as much as the first time. But the third time she saw it, she grew so bold as to go up to it and talk with it.

Familiarity softens even frightening things.
