The Hare and the Fox

The hare said to the fox, "Do you really make a lot of gains, and can you say why they call you the gainer?" "If you doubt it," replied the fox, "come to my house, I'll give you dinner." The hare followed her. But inside, the fox had nothing for dinner but the hare. The hare said, "To my cost I now learn, but at least I learn, where your name comes from: not from your gains, but from your tricks."

Great misfortunes often befall the curious who give in to their clumsy indiscretion.
