The Shepherd Who Lets the Wolf into the Fold

A shepherd, who was bringing his sheep back inside the fold, was about to shut a wolf in with them, when his dog, who had noticed it, said to him, "How can you, who care about the life of your sheep, let this wolf in with them?"

The company of wicked people is apt to cause the greatest harm, and even death.
