A tortoise begged an eagle to teach her to fly. The eagle pointed out that she was not made for flight at all; but this only made her more insistent in her plea. So the eagle took her in his talons, carried her up into the air, and then let her go. The tortoise fell onto the rocks and was dashed to pieces.
