FableNº 331

The Wasp and the Serpent

One day a wasp settled on a serpent's head and tormented it, stinging it relentlessly with its sting. The serpent, mad with pain and unable to be revenged on its enemy, put its head under the wheel of a cart and so died together with the wasp.

Some people do not shrink from the idea of dying together with their enemies.
