Zeus and Apollo

Zeus and Apollo were competing at archery. Apollo drew his bow and shot his arrow, and Zeus stepped forward with his leg as far as Apollo had sent his shaft.

When we compete with rivals stronger than ourselves, not only do we fail to reach them, but we also lay ourselves open to mockery.
