Zeus and the Serpent

When Zeus was getting married, all the animals brought him presents, each according to its means. The serpent crawled up to him with a rose in its mouth. Seeing it, Zeus said, "From all the others I accept presents; but from your mouth I refuse them absolutely."

We should beware the courtesies of wicked people.
