The Belly and the Feet

The belly and the feet were arguing over their strength. At every turn the feet claimed they were so far superior in strength that they even carried the belly. To which the belly replied, "But, my friends, if I did not supply you with food, you yourselves could not carry me."

It is the same in armies: numbers, more often than not, count for nothing if the leaders do not excel in counsel.
