The Cowardly Hunter and the Woodcutter

A hunter was looking for the trail of a lion. He asked a woodcutter whether he had seen a lion's tracks and where the beast had its lair. "I'll show you the lion himself," replied the woodcutter. The hunter turned pale with fear and, his teeth chattering, said, "It's only the trail I'm after, not the lion himself."
