A diviner, set up in the public square, was doing good business there. Suddenly a fellow came to him and told him that the doors of his house were open and that everything inside had been carried off. Beside himself, he leapt up and ran off with a groan to see what had happened. One of the people who were there, seeing him run, cried out to him, "Hey, friend, you who prided yourself on foreseeing what would happen to others, you did not foresee what would happen to you."
