The Geese and the Cranes

Some geese and cranes were feeding in the same meadow. Hunters appeared: the cranes, being light, flew off; but the geese, held back by the heaviness of their bodies, were caught.

In wartime, the poor may flee and preserve their freedom, while the rich can be trapped by their possessions.
