The Thirsty Dove

A dove tormented by thirst, on spotting a bowl of water painted on a picture, thought it was real. So, swooping down, she rashly struck against the picture and broke the tips of her wings. As a result, she fell to the ground and was caught by someone who was there.

Those swept away by violent passions may rush blindly towards their own ruin.
