Hare

The hare is speed wasted by pride. She sleeps while the tortoise walks, and loses the only race that mattered. Startled by everything, she once envies even the frogs, who fear her in turn. Many enemies want her, from eagles to hounds. She is the fastest loser in Aesop, and the most afraid.
