Crow

The crow longs to be more than he is. He envies the eagle, imitates her dive, and gets tangled in the wool. Flattered for a voice he does not have, he opens his beak and loses his cheese. He dresses in borrowed feathers and is stripped bare. He is vanity that sings on command.
