Lion
The lion is power itself. He divides the prey and keeps every share, because he is the lion. Yet he can be freed by a mouse, fooled by a fox, and humbled by love for a girl. Old and sick, he receives visits he would once have eaten. Aesop uses him to show what strength can and cannot do.
